A rare and exceptional set of two executive lounge chairs designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe in the 1950s, part of the highly collectible U+N (or Japanese) series. These executive models are distinguished by their larger size and striking double-bend metal armrests, setting them apart from the common FM07 model. The chairs feature original two-tone upholstery—vivid red for the seat cushions and black for the backrests and armrests—set upon a minimalist black metal frame. They represent a significant piece of Dutch Mid-Century Modern design history. The original wool upholstery is in very good vintage condition with minor age-appropriate wear.
