ViewThis is a set of four vintage dining chairs manufactured by Hitchcock in the 1970s to commemorate the American Bicentennial. Each chair features a dark green painted frame with delicate gilt highlights. The backrests are decorated with painted silhouettes of four different US Presidents (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Jackson) and a corresponding historical home: Mount Vernon, Peacefield, Monticello, and The Hermitage. The seats are finished with recently replaced cane webbing. These chairs represent an excellent piece of Americana furniture.
