ViewInspired by an industrial trolley from the FontanaArte plant used for transporting glass, the Tavolo con Ruote table embodies intuitive design by transforming an everyday object into high design. Gae Aulenti replaced the trolley's wooden shelf with a thick sheet of beveled float glass, a nod to FontanaArte's history. The piece is completed with free-rolling industrial wheels with black metal forks, radically altering the object's purpose. This piece is made to order and requires a 12-14 week lead time for shipping.
