An antique, museum-quality armchair designed by Austrian architect Gustav Siegel around 1899 for the esteemed J. & J. Kohn furniture factory. This piece exemplifies Viennese Art Nouveau, featuring a bent beechwood frame stained reddish-brown. The chair is distinguished by its elegant, continuous curved backrest frame flowing into the front legs, and original floral tapestry upholstery in beige and gold tones. Original brass caps adorn the bottom of the front legs. It was featured at the 1900 Paris World's Fair and is in good condition, showing appropriate patina and wear consistent with its age.
