Jean Prouvé's only all-wood chair design, the Chaise Tout Bois, was originally conceived in 1941 due to wartime metal scarcity. This dining chair maintains the structural logic of his famous Standard chair but translates the frame entirely into solid wood. Vitra faithfully reproduces this iconic 1941 version using durable solid oak and moulded plywood, available in a natural or dark-stained finish. It features a screw-free construction relying on precise joinery. The chair includes felt glides specifically designed for protecting hardwood floors, making it a warm, tactile, and ergonomically sound piece of 20th-century design history.

  • Designed by Jean Prouvé in 1941
  • Functionalist form inspired by the Standard chair
  • No-screw assembly construction
