The D4 Folding Chair is a sculptural tubular steel lounge chair designed by Marcel Breuer in 1926/27. A true piece of Bauhaus history, this lightweight chair features an intelligent, cross-shaped construction that makes it easy to fold, store, and transport. Originally intended for use in versatile settings such as ships, terraces, and gardens, the D4 was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1980. This version features a frame in a Special RAL Color and cowhide upholstery.
