Dating to circa 1960, this rare piece is constructed entirely from solid teak, showcasing a warm, dense patina that reflects its storied history. The design features five drawers—two narrow top drawers and three full-width drawers below—each accented with circular cutout pulls routed directly into the wood. A unique highlight is the original institutional stencil, PEC/CH/LIBRARY/501/III, which remains intact, adding significant provenance and character. Supported by signature compass A-frame legs, this piece is a remarkable example of Chandigarh program furniture, offered in its original, unrestored condition.
