This CH011 coffee table by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn is a beautiful and practical piece of furniture designed to fit seamlessly into various spaces. Its four tapered legs angle slightly outwards, giving the solid tabletop an elegant lightness. The tabletop's simple expression and natural wood grain running lengthwise make it adaptable for different uses, functioning primarily as a coffee table but also as a side table due to its narrow width. A solid wooden H-frame connects the top and legs, providing stability and ensuring the detachable legs are slanted. Crafted in oak with a white oil finish, this high version stands at 20.9 inches. Wegner, a pivotal figure in Danish modern furniture design, created this table with meticulous attention to joinery, craft, and material, embodying his renowned aesthetic.
