A rare and iconic set of two LC1 armchairs, originally designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, and produced by Cassina in Italy between 1966 and 1968. These first-edition pieces feature a polished chrome steel tubular frame and are upholstered in rich cowhide leather, accented with black leather armrests. The construction utilizes nickel-plated steel springs for covering support. While in good original condition, one chair has a minor snag and one is missing a rear spring. They have been cleaned and the leather nourished, showing only slight, negligible signs of age.
