A stylish early 19th‑century x‑frame window seat of elaborate shapely form and retaining the original blue and gilt decoration. The hand rails with rounded terminals and collars and carved rosettes sweeping down to a dished seat in teal upholstery, above and central carved foliate panel, raised on swept legs with gilded paw feet with repeating gilded collars. Circa 1820.
