ViewDesigned by Gerrit Rietveld, the Zig Zag Chair is a pioneering example of a cantilevered seat. It is constructed from four wood boards articulated end-to-end to create a striking Z-shape, eschewing the traditional legs-seat-back sequence for a minimalist, ribbon-like aesthetic. This piece is handcrafted in Italy, featuring an open-pore finish that highlights the natural beauty of the wood.
