ViewInspired by the industrial trolleys used at the FontanaArte glass plant, Gae Aulenti designed the Tavolo Con Ruote table as an example of intuitive design, moving straight from concept to prototype. This striking piece features a substantial sheet of beveled float-glass, honoring the company's heritage, supported by free-rolling industrial wheels with optical black metal forks. The replacement of the original wooden shelf with thick glass fundamentally transforms the object's function while maintaining its industrial aesthetic.
