The Phileas Footstool is a contemporary piece that blends classic elegance with modern engineering. Its mechanically soldered steel frame is complemented by particleboard panels clad in 200 g/m² polyester quilting. The base is available in epoxy satin black, satin bronze lacquered steel or a solid walnut with a reinforcing tubular steel core. The seat is suspended by elastic webbing over high‑resilience polyurethane Bultex foam, while the back rests on lighter Bultex foam. Integral seating cushions and backrests are covered with ultra‑flexible polyurethane foam and 100 m² polyester quilting. Twin‑needle stitched backs and invisible zips contribute to a clean, minimalist silhouette. The footstool can be dressed in a wide range of fabrics, from leather to velvet, microfiber or wool, allowing extensive customization. It is a versatile addition to the Phileas collection, offering both comfort and understated sophistication.
