ViewThis is a charming, low, varnished wooden book rack originating from the 1990s, likely a project from a Japanese school class as indicated by the text dating it to 1998 (Heisei 10). It features whimsical, slightly naive hand-painted artwork on its end panels. One side depicts a cheerful blue elephant against a blue sky, and the other side shows a small, sleeping mouse in a fairytale scene with mushrooms.
