A rare and exquisitely detailed pair of antique Charles II oak arm chairs from the 17th century. These chairs feature ornate hand-carvings depicting putti, floral baskets, and acanthus leaves, complete with detailed carved finials. The backs have oval caned inserts surrounded by floral wreaths, supported by barley twist columns. The seats are currently upholstered with thick, brown velvet cushions over the original caning, which is noted to be in excellent condition for their age. The barley twist legs are connected by decorative stretchers featuring floral urn carvings.
