This solid teak club chair from the Castello deep seating collection offers a modern look with charming convenience. Crafted from plantation-grown, European grade, FSC-certified teak, it features a fine, sanded finish for low maintenance. The chair boasts a wide-set frame with clean, straight lines, horizontal slats in the back, and boxy arms. The elevated seating appearance is enhanced by a wide-set bottom frame. The teak undergoes a six-week kiln-drying process for stability and is naturally resistant to water, insects, mold, and mildew. It combines machine precision with traditional Mortise and Tenon construction for artisanal joinery. The cushion is made with 100% solution-dyed acrylic Sunbrella® fabric, which is UV resistant, fade resistant, mold and mildew resistant, spill-proof, and stain resistant. The seat cushion uses a plush polyester-wrapped foam core for structure and softness, while the back cushion uses a softer, more expensive layered polyester for comfort. Over time, the teak will naturally fade to a silvery shade and may check (develop small cracks) due to weather exposure.
